Description

The old Fox Theater.  I think in every small city and larger had a Fox theater back in the early 1930s.  This one operated into the very early 1980s.  Today the arts community is doing what it can to bring this one back to life with plays, dance, film, exhibitions....but they are still in the renovation mode.  We need this.  The only "art gallery" in town is run by a clique who only allow their own work (about seven people) to sell there.  You could go in there every couple months and see new works, but you can't really tell because everything always looks the same.  A "shared" aesthetic is really very boring.  The shared arrogance is off the charts.  We need a place for the hundreds of artists in the area who don't fit their mold to be seen.

Thanks in advance for any +fav s, they are always appreciated.

Something similar happened here. Here we had cinemas/theater room in many cities, even the smallest. But with the television and later other medias (video, CD, etc ..), people closed themselves as cocoons in their homes. And it's still strange to see the internet as a way for the world without leaving our homes...
